About

  • This site provides a daily account of the various projects currently under development at the Sid Lee Collective. A brainchild of Sid Lee, our creative incubator develops, catalyses, promotes and finances various projects that push the notion of Commercial CreativityTM to its limits, and, we hope, beyond.

We offer bursaries and support to our artisans to make their ideas happen. We also welcome submissions from external collaborators. Contact us to submit a project or learn more about the collective.

Also visit Conversational Capital, a Sid Lee blog that offers strategic and creative insight on the engineering of word-of-mouth marketing.

CODE – The Create Berlin poster contest

Montreal is one of the three cities that received the UNESCO City of Design designation along with Berlin and Buenos Aires three years ago. Hélène Godin, from Sid Lee, started the creation of posters to show the cultural assets of our city.

Berlin followed Montreal’s example with the project “CODE – The Create Berlin poster contest”and established a contest involving 300 creatives from all around the world that propose a poster that represents Berlin as a UNESCO City of Design. The poster Sid Lee Collective has created for this project is titled: “TWO UNESCO CITIES OF DESIGN UNITED ON A COMMON GROUND”.
